Hi, i have been working on my website (Diamond Photography) for several months now and kind of just built it the way i thought was best. Obviously just because i like it does not mean others do. I would be very interested in the opinions of others? Does it look professional? Is it easy to navigate? Are there any glaring errors? Thanks in advance
I really like the site. But you got a lot of blank space in the footer - http://awesomescreenshot.com/0635dve18
Your home page should have good look and feal . You can also use Flash in your site . According to google preferences in seo you can use green color in your templates and banner.
I think this website gets to the point of what it is ment for! great job done! websites don't have to be fancy but tell visitors what they need to know and you are offering everthing! Only thing i found that's looking auwful was the photo gallery, its not ment for you site! But for the rest! nice job done!
The look and feel doesn't fit your site.. there are hunderds of jquery based galleries on the net and you'll shure find one that fits your design much more..
What about these galleries. http://www.entheosweb.com/Flash/Photo_Gallery13/default.asp ($30 though) http://www.simpleviewer.net/tiltviewer/app/
nice one... concept design is good.... but not 100% validated by www c.try to validate so that its even 60% seo.
Your site is straightforward and easy to use. I like the look and feel of your blog especially. Good overall! But it can be improved in a few key ways: 1. The "links" page looks unnatural, as it leads to a blank page that has three non-descriptive hyperlinks ("links page 1", "links page 2", etc.). Instead of breaking it up into "1, 2, and 3", break it up based on category / topic. Also, make it so that the landing page when someone clicks "links" is a page that actually has links on it. Otherwise the site is unintuitive and requires too many clicks to navigate, which seems unprofessional. You may try adding some texture or gradients / borders to your navigation bar, if you can find a way to do it that looks professional. Try copying ideas from other sites. I'm not crazy about the "Save 150" icon / graphic. I think that could be made to look a little more professional. It's a little too bright / colorful for the black-and-white formal look of your site. Some color might be good but maybe one color fading to black or white, or something else more toned-down. I'm cautious about black-background sites. You may want to try adding more black-text-on-white-box sections, ideally using the same formatting as your blog page (I really like the look of that page). One person recommended using flash. I would advise against this. Flash is best used very sparingly. Good luck!
Hi Cazort, thanks for the input. I agree with the links comment and will change that. I used to have a gradient background until i look at my site on a friends computer and found their computer did not render the gradient correctly and instead had a clearly stepped background. So i thought i'd better play it safe with solid colors. I do like my blob, so more white areas is a possibility Thanks again...
