How could I check if my site is added in Yahoo directory?

    I delivered my web to yahoo some months ago. Now when I put my address in yahoo, I can see my site in the web search result but not availabe if I swift to the directory result.

    Does that mean mine has not been added or the reverse? I have no idea.

    Thanks in advance for any opinions.

    Just watch the category you submitted to - how many days ago was it?

    If it was a paid listing send them an email and complain - if it was a free suggested site, keep waiting and don't hold your breath.

    Start getting backlinks (preferably good ones) and it will get indexed. I have yet to pay to be included in Yahoo.

    Do a search for whatever you sell or want to rank high for +add url. That is always a good start.

    Then, check and see who is backlinking to your competitors, if those sites have an add url option, you should be on their too.

    Keep searching this forum, there are a lot better ones than the two I just gave you ;)

    Now, since Yahoo has closed its service of yahoo site explorer, it is difficult to optimize your site according to the Yahoo search engine.

    It might take upto 6 months for directory to approve your link if it was a free submission, a paid submission gets approved earlier, all you do is wait and watch.

    i don't think so that yahoo is as much better as google it creates lots of trouble to its new users and i don't use it as search engine in my office

    You tell us first how many months ago your site has been added to the Yahoo Directory. If your site is not indexed then it can't be shown in Yahoo Directory.
