Does someone knows how to convert audio tapes to cd files ? I have one old tape and few good songs on that tape, these songs can not find anywhere else. I would like to move these songs to computer and post to family blog . I am looking for software to do this or even a service. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Oh this is very easy.

    1 - You need the right wire/cable.
2 - Software (I guess Nero has one too) like Sony Sound Forge, Adobe Audition or whatever you like / can buy.

Then just play the audio using any player and route the output to computer's audio input (prolly mic)

Plug your cassette deck output (the RCA left and right) into your sound card's "line in" input - you might need to get an RCA > stereo mini jack cable to do this depending on your sound card (see pic below), they're about $5-10. Then fire up something like Audacity and record your songs as a wav file. Do any editing or restoration that you want, and then burn it using Nero's "audio cd" preset.
