Yesterday when I searched for my forum it was on the 2nd search result on Google.

But now today it's not even listed on Google?

Google rankings are constantly jumping all over the place. One reason for this is that different data centers have different rankings. So you may just be accessing different data centers. Rankings also jump around based on new links and other factors. So you may have had a temporary boost from new links. If your website is fairly new, you might also be dealing with the Google sandbox.

It's the google dance. You'll find ranking tend to jump around quite a bit before they stablize. Be patient and check in a few days and it should be back.

If it isn't, then you may need to do some detective work as to why it isn't....sandbox, penalty, other sites out ranking, etc.

Did you use the service in your sig link?

If so there is your answer..

Lots of new links will rank your site well for a short time till Google scores the links and then most sites fall to lowered results and never get out...

Lots of artificial links are crappy links.....trying to cheat Google with crappy links equals a crappy site ranking.

If you are using that service I would stop and find a way to grab natural links from relevant sites & blogs.

I'm not entirely sure, but I belive the consistancy of your site's daily traffic determines its rank. Although other factors play key roles in determining ranks for Google or any other search engine.

This scenario is normal for new build sites/forums. :D The big G loves kid! Sooner or later you will find the exact ranking of your site. Fluctuations in the ranking of keywords are normal due to competition. Just continue on getting natural links rather than crappy links.

My rankings jump around all the time, at the moment they are up on where they were last week, next week might be different.

This is because of the SERP. It seems that other many webmaster has defeated you on that keyword.
