Check the item tab when you're looking at the transactions in your clickbank account, the vendors often tend to upsell, downsell, and have backend offers. These kinds of sales which are different from the main offer, will bring you a different commission. You need to look at the Item number for the sale that brought you XX$ and the sale that brought you YY$. If the Item number is different then the vendor is probably doing some of the things I mentioned above.

Other possibilities are that the vendor lowered the price of the product.
Also possible, but not very likely, is that the vendor decreased the commission of the affiliates.

ya, u r right,. I saw the lower price is based on item 4. (how can i know what item 4 mean??)
btw, even for the same item, there is a difference in decimal points i.e. the comission is xx.01 and xx.50 i.e. 0.49$ different, why?

The price can always be changed by a vendor.

There might be some other issues, that when a vendor sells multiple products with different prizes. (items..)

Yes, so the vendor was probably upselling/downselling or sold something on the backend for which you got commission.

As far as the 0.01 to 0.50 difference, it is normal, it depends on the payment method the customer uses, and the location from which the purchase has been made.

if you go to the vendors sale page and view the "Buy Now" button link, you will be able to see the product#.. The first number in the buy URL is the item number.

Depends what country they bought from...exchange rate will result in $.02 - $.50 difference.
