How close is too close when placing Adsense near Videos or Flash Games???

Before I ask my question, I know you cannot place images next to ads to entice clicks.

However, I have a video site and I want to know if I can place adsense around the videos because I think my ads will get the most attention this way. But how close is too close?

Has anyone had any experience with this?

    Thanks

I like to have a double space between any image and adsense. That way they can not say anything about the ads. Better to be safe than loose your money and be banned.

Best is to keep a decent space and a border separating the images from the content. I have done this on my site and achieved good results within googles guidelines :)

Guys, he already stated he does NOT have images next to the ads. He's asking if you can place ad boxes either directly above, directly below, or directly to either side of an EMBEDDED VIDEO or FLASH GAMES.

If anyone has experience with this, I'd like to know the answer as well. There is absolutely nothing within their TOS that I could find that would suggest you can't place ads in this manner.

Anyone ever been banned for it?

Actually, perhaps you overlooked this post. If your advertisements are in extremely close proximity to the games, it may obviously derive incidental clicks that are deemed 'invalid' by Google. Just shoot an e-mail to the Adsense support team, and ask them to review your website once the games have been implemented; that's what I did after that specific policy was introduced.

in a way it is in the TOS.
putting ads where it has a higher chance of clicks being invalid, you violate that term.
and yes, people do get banned for invalid clicks. ;)

just use common sense on placement.

video, you can have ads right next to the player.
people will just be clicking on the play button on the player.
i don't think google has a problem with that.

flash games on the other hand, there is so many ways to play them.
having adsense anywhere on the same page, there is a chance for a invalid click. :D
don't have the ads next to the game.on one of my sites i have the description separating the ad and the game.

You can place ads directly over the video itself (it's not mentioned anywhere in the TOS that you are not allowed to place ads next to videos/flash). Just to be sure you are on the safer side, you may want to leave 10px between them.
Also be sure to don't place the ads in between of the video and it's title, because AdSense may ban you because of labeling the ads.
