How close can adsense be to a link?

How close can you place adsense to a link.

example: http://youlikeblank.com/like.php?id=9998

is this bannable? the adsense is really close to the like button

 

i cant confirm that. i do mini sites (german minisites) and its earning me quit some money.
BUT i spread those websites over multiple ip adresses and such and do linktrading with my sites. You have to do linkbuilding and it is true that in the end a big website is better then 10 small. Only good thing is you can linktrade with the small ones so they are good to start with

don't place too close or too many,

 

Ask yourself:

- could a visitor accidentally click on an ad when interested in a link?

- could a visitor confuse your ads for part of your content?

If the answer to both is "no", then it's probably OK

 

Should be fine. Always best to play it safe though..

 

That is absolutely fine there.

 

I would divide with a bit of text inbetween adsense ads and another link. If google decides that the link is misleading then the consequences aren't great to say the least. It also looks better on the page if there are gaps between links avoiding the spammy look.
