How can you test if a PayPal IPN button is working or not?

    I added a PayPal IPN button a week ago for a $5 ebook. But no sales yet :( SO either my sales copy sucks (quite possible!) or the button doesnt work.

    Is there any good way to test the IPN button? I tried with my own card, but it says "you can not buy from yourself".

    I might have to ask a friend to try with their CC

    Thanks, I'll take a look at that page as soon as I can connect to paypal (see my other thread on paypal timeout issues - I cant even open paypal help pages like the one you provided!)
