How can you recognize a blog from a website, if it is a self hosted blog and the template looks exactly similar to a website.
It can be very difficult if a blog is treated as a CMS to build a site, you might not be able to tell. Often an RSS feed is a bit of clue that there's blog activity going on. But not always.
Sometimes, the footer will have something that says "powered by wordpress". That's not always the case though. If you really want to see if a site is a wordpress blog, take the domain name and add /wp-admin to it. That will take you to the admin login page. Of course, you don't know the admin login information, so there is nothing wrong with doing this if you really want to know if it's a wordpress blog or not. example: www.thedomainthatyouwanttocheck.com/wp-admin Hope that helps.
After you look at enough blogs built with Wordpress, you start to be able to tell the basic template with the sidebar and stuff, and you can just tell. Just keep looking at more templates and gaining inspiration from different sites, and you'll gradually learn what site's are built with what.
That's what I thought A blog is just the nature of the website or it can be just a part of a website.
