Another great tip is to find electronics items that aren't in the electronics category. Those types of things still sell great, but you aren't limited by 4% commissions. As far as examples, you're on your own to explore, but let me tell you, there are plenty to be found.
I think there may be opportunities in consumer electronics (which are capped at 4%) on Amazon. I recently found a growing niche with 40000 searches a month and zero competition. Even at 4% it wouldn't take much to make good money on 40000 searches and with no competition it should be easy to rank quickly.
Hey sisironline it adds up to good amount and i think the 4% is on electronics only. Right now I am earning about 7% from my sales. Just build a lot of different small stores and promote and by the time you know it will be getting sales.
selling something in the range of $1000 is best. But I know it is difficult to make sales of this price. If you have high relevant traffic u will be able to make some good amount from amazon and this is what I lacks.
You may have already made some sales. Only then ur commission rate increases. I think every products in amazon have the same commission rate. It only varies with affiliates. If I am wrong, please let me know
Yep you are wrong. Commission rate doesn't depends on Affiliates it depends on sales volume. But some products has a flat rate. like items in this list. Here's how it work for other items, Total Items Shipped and rate. 1 - 6 - 4.00% 7 - 30 - 6.00% 31 - 110 - 6.50% 111 - 320 - 7.00% 321 - 630 - 7.50% 631 - 1570 - 8.00% 1571 - 3130 - 8.25% 3131 + - 8.50%
But $500-1000 products don't sell. How many buyers are capable of purchasing such high priced items. Only a few and for those products, many sellers are ready to pay $5-10 per click for adword ads.
if you write about stuff you love, you won't have to worry about the conversions, because you "love" the subject matter, do it as though you weren't getting paid and watch the money start...and if it never does, that should be ok, because you "love" the subject matter
You can Profit with Amazon by building Niche Micro Websites, highly Targeted for One product ideally the Product you Promote should be over $150.
No! No! No! No! You're looking at it the wrong way. You're seeing the customers as your standing at the door to the mall - and yes, ABSOLUTELY, most of them are walking in to buy a $10 item. But what you're doing with a website is INSERTING yourself into an EXISTING transaction. The guy is ALREADY about to buy a D800 36 Megapixel Nikon Camera... He's ALREADY 90% SURE HE'S GOING TO BUY... when he searches for that camera, HE FINDS YOUR WEBSITE OFFERING A REASON WHY HE SHOULD SPEND HIS MONEY. And trust me, people are always looking for justification to do what they already made up their minds to do. So you aren't standing at the mall door, desperately looking for that 1 in 25,000 customers looking for a camera, your website is *ONLY* intercepting those high ticket purchasers. Nikon isn't going broke selling $3,000 cameras... This is what makes Amazon so powerful as an affiliate program. I offer a step by step plan if you're interested in learning more...
No matter how small the initial return on something, with enough traffic, it will ALWAYS become a saving grace. Even $0.01 per product, with enough time and marketing traffic, will turn into $1,000,000. It's just a matter of driving traffic to your site. Also, as the number of sales you have increases, so too will the commision rate. And because Amazon is pretty much one of the most popular online sellers and is widely known, getting trusted buyers is much easier than less known affiliate products or services.
4% is still good for you if you have more traffic. Imagine if you get 10 clicks from Adsense each click worth $0.50 than your earning will be $5 but if you sell 10 Amazon products which price should be $100 your earnings will be $40.!
