i mean if you get only 4$ for a product that is being purchased at the value of 100$, how can it be profitable?
Hey, By getting lots of traffic from those that are interested in buying in it. I sell cameras and stuff and prices go from 5$ to 5000$. Where do I find people? Some come from search engines, some come from my answers on YahooAnswers! Usually it's those who sell 200$+ that get money. I earn ~150$ per month, but if you can get lots of traffic to buy the small items can work too. Yes comissions are small but depending on what you sell, it can go to 6, 6.5 and 8% (based on how many items you sell). But don't we all know and trust Amazon? Sure, some other sites give you 30% (cj and that stuff) but Amazon has almost anything you need..
People trusts amazon and if you are promoting though amazon you are better off, drive more traffic and do your product research thorough to make a decent income.
You can also ask how people make money from AdSense as the clicks are anywhere from $0.10 up with most commont clicks about $0.50 The answer as always is volume. You sell 10 $100 items and you got $40 How to sell that many items? Just get lots of traffic And you can get up to 7-8 % with the propper traffic
It does seem a little at first, but they all add up very quickly. Some of us promote things that most people wouldn't find too hard to purchase. That way, we can shift more products and make accrue more commission. Give it a go and see how it turns out for you. Good luck.
Just as hhelen said, if you start by promoting cheap products that go quickly, then eventually your commission levels will increase. Once your commission percent is higher then you can focus on selling the expensive items to make the most profit. Either way, the sales will start to add up eventually, just keep working at it.
go sell a nice product and get a ton traffic. Sample, download mp3 can be work if you can find the best download for this section. a little but it work.. for me.
when I buy a DVD from an Amazon Seller for example, they charge me approx. $12.45 for postage but when I receive the package it's usually stamped with $2.75 or maybe $3.45, more or less, so the remainder goes into the Seller's pocket! I suppose the seller might say otherwise but that's how I see it.
The trick to avoid this is to be selective about which products you promote. Many Amazon affiliates I know only promote products that are sold by Amazon themselves, as tricks like this cause a lot of abandoned checkouts...
Amazon's payout may look small initially but I love Amazon for the following reasons: a) Amazon is a recognizable brand everyone knows and trust b) Wide selection of products c) My personal experience customers who purchase from Amazon tend to buy other things as well. So getting more than one sale from the same customer per visit is very highly possible. d) It is a selling machine with everything done for you. You just need to generate traffic e) 4% on a $100 product is still money compared to ZERO sale from a high payout Clickbank product f) Anyway the 4% is the beginning. I have earned up to 8% commission from Amazon. Anyway there are various ways you can make money on Amazon. a) You can become an Amazon associate and sell products available on Amazon b) You can self-publish your books on Amazon c) You can get PLR materials, make some changes and than sell it on Amazon Kindle e) You can work with dropshipping companies or your local companies and sell their products on Amazon through you under the "Sell On Amazon" program The opportunities are tremendous..... There are 6 ways to making money on Amazon as an associate 1. Choose products in Amazon using 5 MUST have criteria 2. Do a bit of keyword research 3. Check out your competitors 4. Write your review 5. Post your review on your blog or website 6. Get Traffic You can read more at norajeannehirsu.com Hope that helps....
Because you would have very little overhead. Because you will sell other products with a higher commission. Because it only takes a few products to go up to the next percentage.
Choose the products with value over $200.....and make sure the products is popular......write good review abut the products that you want to promote....promote your site..... and then for sure you will make more $$$$
I start from setting an achievable goal. My goal will tell the quantity of products to sell and how many traffic I want. For example, I want to make an extra $1000 per month selling a Flip Video. The flip cost about $100 and I will get commission $4 on every sell. To hit the goal I have to sell 250 flips a month or 9 flips a day. If the conversion rate is about 1% that's mean I will have to bring in 900 visitors a day. Well, with above calculation I know that I have to ... - I will have to create a sale page (with very less distraction but not hard sell) - I will have to promote my web to get 900 visitor a day (this part is hard and cause most people get out of the game) - I will have to keep improve my sale page to double conversion rate and do daily promotion until I meet the goal Good luck Santacruz
I started a niche blog, it's a horror movie review blog, and it's 4 years old PR4 gets a good amount of traffic and I use amazon links in every review. It isn't earning a ton of money, but in sheer traffic and quantity of purchases it's enough to get payout every time. I'm not sure how to get it to work at first, I admit, amazon wasn't exactly giving me a ton of money, but around year 2 of posting 3 times a week I started to see a trickle of purchases. It might only be 4%, but just write about something you love and post product links, and in time, you can make it work.
