Hi friends, Every one on the internet is speaking about the good content,..but if one writes very good content, then what makes the visitor clicks the ads, specially if he is a returning visitor coming for a specific type of information? Does any one know how can the content itself lead the visitors to click the ads?
If you have quality content on your site & the ads are relevant, then those ads will be of interest to the person on your site. If the ad is of interest to the person, he/she might click on it. Just like if they see a normal link on your site that appeals to them, they click on it.
One of the most favorite techniques used by the people is to trick his audience into believing the ads a normal link pointing to another topic within your website. However its use is highly debateable.
Write your content in such a way that they'll want more information. That "additional information" will be in the form of a conveniently placed ad on your site.
Ad placement helps in this case. Try placing an ad unit just when your article ends. When they finish reading this unit comes in useful. Bye
normally well blended ads do the trick.. but don't force a visitor to click on ads with any tags like sponsored link or more information etc..
I agree, well blended and well positioned ads can make a big difference. Options such as placement between paragraphs of quality content etc... Just be careful if your using ads like google adsense not to break the rules as it could get you banned.
Blending is a well known technique that many people (including myself) use to help increase an ad unit's CTR. It relies on your ads looking like the rest of your website so they appear to be part of your website's content rather than looking like advertisements. This helps combat ad blindness. There is however, a different way to approach your ads color scheme. Instead of letting them blend into your site, do the opposite. Make them stand out, emphasize them with bright colors. Draw attention to your ads and hopefully your CTR will improve. A good example of this is the advertisement in the top right hand corner of the forum. I would also recommend playing around with variation. If you ads all look the same and are all in the same places on your site, people will start to develop ad blindness. Move them around and vary your ad placement. Have them appear in different locations. Use different ad formats and different colors. You can even rotate your ad's color palette. Experiment!
I agree, well blended and well positioned ads can make a big difference. Just be careful if your using ads like google adsense not to break the rules as it could get you banned. Blogger beta (it is not beta any more and there is something like 2blogger.com) does not allow you to make any modification at all, I tried to change the colors but I coul not.
If a person is desperately looking for information on something and an presents them with that information (at least reading the tile and the ad copy) then theree is a good chance og having an ad clicked. it all dependss on the relevancy.
check out how this forum has placed the adsense hehe http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/19/pg1/srtpages
Color rotator ads are best for the visitors who come back to your site, and blindness work perfectly for those who are new to your site...
Try to produce more and more new creations or text on your page and your visitors number will increased.
I found out in text ads to be more effective than banners and other types. people even click while reading an article...
