i had a site get busted, it was removed from the index ... googlebot still visits often, but our #1 with a bullet site is just plain gone.

any ideas on how to resurrect it?

i had way to much coop weight on it i think, i crushed my comp a little too badly i think.

Remove anything that might have been a problem. Change the content around. Add a few pages.

about 1 month ... www. global cellular rental .com

i still have old entries in the index, gbot not coming by much anymore. 11 hits all of may.

even got a pr boost from 4 to 5 (despite losing my serps) this past update.

i was #1 for satellite phone rental, cellular phone rental, cell phone rental .... for a long time.

the content is stale ... i'll give it that.

but G has said ... no more traffic for you ... not a little, not from page 100 ... not at all.

only real link building was from coop and so old link exchages that are still there but untouched since sept '04.

I dont' think your banned, maybe penalized. Banned is no pages when you do the site: command, no incomming links and no PR.

i wonder if removing coop links will fix it ... would be a good test ... but then i lose my yahoo/msn traffic too ... that's total death.

those engines i'm still a strong #1 ... for a looong time now

I don't think you would lose the MSN/Yahoo right away.

    DO this:
    DONT PANIC!!
sit down, calm down, have a beer, work on new sites / improving the site. After a few months if the situation continues panic! (j/k). You might have triggered a filter (like the sandbox filter).

Kinda odd, have you thought about adding some fresh content to the site? I mean I am showing 1150 indexed pages and 399 google backlinks, if you were banned these would be completely gone I would think. I also checked copyscape and found there is not real "duplicate" for your main page, cannot check all of them though. #1 in MSN, AltaVista, and AllTheWeb and gone from Inktomi and Google results for "satellite phone rental". I personally would try to tempt G-Bot's tummy with the taste of nuts and honey ;) Give him some new content to chew on. Also, I didn't notice a sitemap, I know google hits that page before any on all of our sites, not saying it matters, but, it's a one step click for g-bot to deep crawl. Just my $.02

well, funny you say that about triggering a filter ... my weight has been a stable 54,000 for a long time .... until 2 weeks before i got smoked.

i had a page producing errors, and the stupid, overly strict coop weight check leveled my weight to zero ... even though my other 30,000 pages had coop links on them. i have a problem with the idea of you give us 100% only, if it's 99% you get no links, but we'll happily take the 99% credit for others.

well, that went unoticed for a week. so ... no links. my serps dipped. i fixed the issue, resumed my weight.

never came back .... site went from #1, to #9 .... to page #3 ... to gone.

maybe i triggered a filter that assumed i just spammed my links over the net. maybe the dip was percieved as a striking upswing instead of a dip recovery.

yet another issue with dyanamic links.

keep dynamic links (coop) under 30% of the total # of links, or it may hurt the SERPs.
