how can you explain this ?

    i have a website with 1200 pages , exercices for IT university , i have created the sitemap and sent it to google , also i have some back links , and i submited the website to MSN / GOOGLE and YAHOO

    the sitemap.html link is in the footer page too

    MSN bot visited the first one my website , ( i have the robots.txt with the sitemap for msn ) , he indexed only the first page


    Google visited my website , and indexed the first and contact page

    yahoo no visit

    why ?

    i checked all the links in my website , and are all serach engine friendly and accessible from the index

    Kindly check first if yahoo authenticate your pages...
    and it should be urllist.txt format...

    Actually I think it should be sitemap.xml. Yahoo has now joined Google on the sitemap issue and you can use the same file and submit it to both. It is a time saver too. You simply use this urlset, instead of the long one Google had before. You can also read about it on sitemp.org.

    how long has it been? yahoo & G don't send spiders to your sites at the same time and may take a little more time....

    it can take anything from 3 days to 3 months (usually) for the search engines to spider your site, Yahoo might not of found the links that are linking to you?
