Hello I read somewhere that buying domain names is a great way to have income in the internet. Can someone pls. explain to me how will someone be able to have income by buying domain names and what are the process/steps on doing this? And is there someone here who have found his luck to have a great income by using domain names? Care to share your stories? Thanks!
I dont know much about this but, you can buy a good domain, simple, short and has meaning and you can sell it with high price. Or you can park your domain in some domain market like sedo to sell and earn money with your domain!
I also dont know more about domain marketing But If i want Photoshop.com doamin & some one already purchased this types of premium domains & parked them then i will contact him & he will tell own rates little bit more than Actual buying rates but i still i want this one domain I would pay him according to his own rates....
Find simple and brandable domain names, its easy to sell, specially at ebay. Or try to find domain with value, ex : PR, Alexa rank, keyword rich, old, etc...this kind of domain is easy to sell too. And the best domain is domain with traffic, you can profit from domain parking, or sell them like a hot cake. I hope you can understand what I mean. Andy
One of the key ways people make money off domain names is bulding the site to a certain peak then selling it, with a good reputation and Rank such as a Page rank or an Alexa rank, your domain will be worth something. You could also put a page ads (Google adsense has this feature so does adbrite) From there you can basically just copy and paste a code and upload an index.html file and just advertise. I mean do you realize how much traffic you can get just from buying a domain name with a typo in it. (E.x. instead of digitalpoint.com you could buy digtalpoint.com) simple typos can gain you massive amounts in traffic. But it is rare. you must have a good idea what domain and what is the good content to fit for the domain before you pick up a new one.. then you can park it some for a while, build its PR, get some traffic on it. then after a months or so you sell it with a high price, I did not sell any domains ever since though but for me, thats my idea Goodluck..
There's value in buying domains and building them out with content that's somewhat related to the original intent of the site.
