How can you check if forums are do follow or no follow

    I know how to do it for blogs, but when you try it for forums. they all come up as no follow, including this one. like 8 times too. does anyone got any tips? i am assuming maybe most forum POSTS are always do follow, I can be wrong though.

    1. Just find a post with a link in someones signature.
    2. Copy the link and do a backlinks check for that site.
    3. If the forum/site comes up in the backlinks list its a do follow

    (there are probably easyer ways to find out if it's a do-follow blog but this is how i do it)

    That method is pretty inconvenient and time-consuming.
    Maybe you should try this:

    - If you are using Firefox, then install an addon called NoDoFollow which will highlight the nofollow and dofollow links and differentiate them.
    - Alternately you can simply hit Ctrl+U to view the source code of any page and press Ctrl+F and search for the word "nofollow". If you find that word over there within the source code, for the links you are concerned with(generally anchor texts), then the site a nofollow one. If you don't find that word anywhere then it is a dofollow one.

    Also make sure you log out and check the links. Many forums show signature links only to logged in users.

    Anyone doing SEO will like the nodofollow tool. However nodofollow plugin extension does not work with newer versions of firefox. I’ve edited the installer so it should now work with newer versions. I’m running version 3.6

    All that was required was to change a small bit of text in the installer code.

    I submit thousand of links to forum sites and never seen NOFOLLOW

    I use Firefox and installed NoDoFollow so you can learn it with a click!

    I use this method as well, but I have to look into the Firefox NoDoFollow tool... sounds like I've been wasting my time (although I've gotten pretty good at it!).

    If you can install, SEO QUAKE, you can easily identify it. Otherwise, check some signature links, If there is NOFOLLOW tag, then the forum is nofollow otherwise, it is dofollow.
