thats a open question. It depends on what topic you blog is about and how you market it, just like any other site.
One of ways to make money with WP is , creating free themes for WordPress, and finding sponsors for links on your themes. Submit your themes on free themes websites..
Short answer is yes... I used wordpress for a blog, which I then inturn used to make money running aff programs & selling private ad space, then I sold it for a profit..
Yes you can, but it depends on you the owner, or if you hire posters, you must have something that is not duplicated everywhere else, not an exclusive approach to wordpress of course but to any site really. Im a little suprised at the number blogs i see based on the niche of making money, when most of those blogs i imagine are not making money themselves, its kinda hard to convince readers then that you have something useful for them if the blog appears not to be doing well itself. But in general making money from a blog is possible.
Wordpress is a blogging platform so just as long as you can get traffic and keep peoples interest, then there are plenty of ways to make money from it. I think ALL the A-list bloggers make a good chunk of change from it and they are all on Wordpress... So, yes, you can make money from a Wordpress blog... if you market it right...
Wordpress is amazing. It is so versatile and can be modified for just about any need. However, wordpress is nothing more than a content management system, not a means to make you money. Simply put, if you can make money from a website, then you can make money using wordpress.
I make a respectable amount of cash with my WordPress blogs, but like any website, they're essentially useless without quality content. You can't expect to write 10 posts and make $100/day, it takes time and devoted readers that will come back to your blog frequently.
Absolutely. People use adsense on their Wordpress blogs all the time. But it works best if your blog is targeted around ONE particular topic and it's even better if that one particular topic is a big money topic like real estate boating, make money etc. These will give you high click value.
You could build your blog around a single affiliate partner. this should give you a good keyword density for that niche.
Almost all my sites are made using wordpress. It can be adaptable to do just about anything and google seems to like it.
are you saying using wordpress theme or wordpress blog? with wordpres theme, you can either sell the themes or sell sponsorship. but with blogs, you can put adsense on it. there are some people making millions running blogs. it is the most polupar blogging platform
www(dot)geeksaresexy(dot)net/2007/03/22/turning-your-blog-into-a-money-making-machine-a-simple-guide/ This was an interesting blog about 'monetising your WP blog' - but as someone said, it doesn't look like it is making too much itself. I have a blog, linked to my Computer Services website, only started a week or so, and the traffic it seems to generate is quite amazing. There should definitely be a way to monetise this, if you could keep the traffic up.
I think it helps if you look at it like a business. with a 2 year plan, targets, and considering the three golden rules (content, marketing, and conversion) it is entirely possible. Personally, I am using wordpress to build good content on my website (going from 0 to 80 unique visitors a day in two weeks isn't bad ) with the intention of latter diverting that traffic to a forum. the reason for that is that properly runned forums can eventually generate their own contents and growth without the need for as heavy time investment as a blog. However, I think that unless you already have at least 500 visitors a day, starting a forum is futile. The second thing is to start the blog with the idea of what niche you are going to use. There are several ways to make money, I'm starting off in the parking ticket niche in the UK, but there are thousands of small niches where a 200 page website could build a following. I have plans on expanding the site once it grows into a medium sized forum, so that it will eventually cover general motoring topics. there's money to be made as a general motor forum, but you can't start a general motor forum Decisions are the hard part... where do you place adverts, do you concentrate on link building, how many articles a week are you going to post? Where should you put adverts, and when do you put them into the site? Can you afford the time it takes? I'm working at the moment(directly or indirectly) on my site for 20 hours a week minimum. I hardly think that is enough commitment to grow the site as agressively as I would like to do.
Yeah, you can easily do this. Payperpost is a good example, but there are loads of other methods you could use too.
Can anyone tell me if you can build a site with wordpress and if there is a manual you can get to help
