How can we send money from India to other countries ?

there are many ways for transferring money to india like nri accounts,demand draft,banks and other money transfer services like remit2india by timesofmoney.com which offers lowest commission, online tracking, 1800 enquiry, online live helpdesk and multiple options to send money.nowadays i am using this service and its good then previous one which i have used.

if it was so easy as you guys mention, no hawala rings would be operating.. until and unless u have a valid reason, you are not allowed to send curency out of India.. you can only recieve it

 

You can use moneygram which you use regularly to send money to my sisters in USA. The procedure is simple. My sister needs to have an account in US for that. i simply go to any moneygram office, fill out a form, pay some processing fee and send money which takes about 3 days to get deposited in my sisters account. Thats it!

 

WU and MG don't allow for sending money from India, I'm looking for the way for sending money from India to Vietnam also. Any advice ?

Shows the incompetency of so many people who replied on this thread. The topic of discussion here is sending money "FROM" India to other countries and not sending money "TO" India, you dumbasses.

You cannot send money out of India that easily. I went to my Kotak Bank, they gave me 3 forms to fill..one form is for RBI, you need to give a valid reason and proper documentation of you and the recipient. RBI will return back the form after varification, and only then the bank will allow you to transfer the money. Western Union, MoneyGram, Remit2home dont allow you to send money out of India due to RBI and FEMA clauses. Its easy to send money to a family member living outside India but if its not family ur doomed!!!

 

What was the purpose for the transfer?

I usually send the money as gift as it requires the least amount of documents. .

You still will have to fill 3 forms.

 

Which bank do u operate thru & cud u explain the process in brief(ING-VYSYA & SBI if possible, since I've accounts in these).
