how can we remove the pages which has been indexed in search engine database

    friends please give me the answer that

    "how can we remove the pages of our website which has been indexed in search engine database without using robots.txt and meta tag method."

    I agree with liveforyou, 301 could be the best way to do it.

    I dont think a 301 redirect would work, because he simply wants the pages to be removed from Google index and he does not say anything about the pages not being available for the users.

    Take a look at the google official webmasters help site here. it might help you.

    on me it worked, i replaced old pages with new pages using this method

    If you have removed the page, but want google to remove it from the index then login to google webmaster tools, go to site configuration, then crawler access then select "remove url" from the tabs. If you have not removed the actual page, it will get indexed again unless you prevent access to the file by the google bot.

    yea 301 permanent redirection should work.
