All good advice but no-one has mentioned setting up a PPC account. It won't improve your page rank immediatly but if you need to get traffic quickly it can be the best option. That way you can get the paid visitors whilst you SEO organically and when your page rank is nice and high drop the PPC

 

It is possible.but You have to work hard for at least 4 to 6 months.

 

If you are starting from 0, it is relatively faster to increase PR. If you are already at PR 3 or above, it relatively takes more time and effort.

If you are starting at 0, I have seen PR increase in 30 days if you do following.

1. Frequent fresh, unique, useful updates
2. Genuine steady backlinks increase from authority/good sites

For increasing Google pagerank you should make backlinks for your website from high pagerank pages. Now there is two cases:
1) You have a new domain:
If your domain is new, don't try to make backlinks for your website fast only because of increasing the pagerank of it. Because in this case its very probable that Google penalize your website and then maybe you see improvements on your pagerank after Google updates them, but your website doesn't have good traffic and you only have a website with high pagerank and no traffic.
2) You have an old domain:
In this case you can make backlinks from high pagerank dofollow pages for your website, then when Google updates its pagerank, the pagerank of your website will be increased.
But you should note that pagerank is only one factor for ranking results and there are many other factors too and you should care about them too.

You CAn find some kinds of steroids, but it never lasts as good

 

If you can get a direct backlink from a high PR homepage, it may be possible to improve your own PR a bit quicker. I got a PR 3 for a brand new site before I really launched it... with a link from another relevant site of mine with PR 4. No guarantees, but it could help.

Otherwise, just consistent backlinking from good sites is the answer.

We have been working for months but still couldn't rank our website,so SEO is not a cup of coffee that can be done in one day it takes at least three months as google updates withing three months.

 

Page rank is nothing more like matematic.
For example:
Page with PR0 lets have "power" 1
Each higher PR must have 6 times more from last, PR1:6, PR2:36, PR3:216, PR4:1296 etc....

So, if you have link from site with PR4, where for example 26 links ( 16 internal + 10 external ).
Then base number for PR4 is 1296 / 26 links = 49,84 somenthing.
It meaning that your website will receive via this link from PR4 page only a bit more from PR2 ( where minimal number of power incoming links:36 )
Of course it working if you use links from PR4 website with related keywords for both, linking and linked website, in other way this link will be have smaller trustPR and anchorPR, and finally small PR, just google not was publish it.
I know it from my experience and a lot of tests. Anyway you need wait until next PR update with it.

In Summary. ANY PR you can to do via 1 link with related anchor to both sites and without any penalty - just lets count reality PR which your will receive as I am wrote earlier.
In Summary ALSO: From PR9 website with totaly not related anchor and/or where tons of internal and external links, you can only received a PR1.

 

You need alot of back links. If you were to achieve this quickly they would certainly be from untrusted sites and may cause you more damage than good. The best method of ranking well is building quality content.

The easiest way is getting backlinks from authority sites with huge Page Ranks, but ofcourse getting them to give your brand new site a backlink is the hardest part
