hi, currently the traffic to our site is approximately: - 1500 daily visitors - 25000 page views - 60, 000 daily hits and the marketing we do is: 1) Go article submission daily (site disallowed from ezine) 2) socially bookmark the article 3) write daily blog post 4) ping the blog url on ping.fm to all the networks on ping.fm 5) also use pingomatic for blog url 6) have a squidoo lens that has rank 0f 4793 & 188 in music & tweak this 7) forum posts in Wf & DP 8) socially bookmark deeper pages of the site about once a week. 9)we have only created social networking accounts like facebook, myspace, friendster as dont really know how to market on them to be honest. we have had this strategy in place for 3 weeks now as we recently purchased the site & it is fairly new too. the traffic has remained constant & only slightly increasing. Is it too early to see a big difference in traffic, do we have to wait months before traffic really starts coming through? or is strategy flawed? what more can we do to really increase traffic? there is a site called musicdumper.com which has 300,000 page views almost daily how can we achieve this too?
maybe can try to use google adwords to attract more traffic.. rss directory submissions.. easy for google to crawl your site..
if it is music related than myspace and facebook can be great ways to get more traffic my site doesn't cross into the myspace theme but it seems like your could get more traffic from it.
hi, can you expand this comment? i dont understand how we could use myspace or facebook to promote our music site further?
You could create a MySpace page and invite about 200 music fans per day to your MySpace page. Obviously you wouldn't get the kind of traffic you want right away, but this is the type of site that would spread and go viral. Send me a PM if you want more details.
hi, just pm'd you hope you can help with myspace. but how would we make this sort of music site viral? i dont understand?
You should target people in your niche rather than pinging everywhere and posting on DP. As maalon said, you can move your focus to social networks. MySpace, facebook, Multiply, Friendster. These are sites with people in the younger generation who might be interested in music. You can also try some chatrooms.
currently the traffic to our site is very high : We are doing directory submission article submission classified ads link exchange social media optimization blog posting
hi, thanks for the replies, when you say social networks like friends, myspace, when you have a nice profile & add/invite friends etc how can we make this more viral? i know there are younger people on there & it relates to the musc niche, but do we send messages on there? post bullet-ins? i will say musicdumper/mp3-codes success is also due to friendster, but im not sure how he does it! does anyone here know how to virally use these sites? or any other key ways to drive traffic?
well i checked your site and seems that you can DL for free , who would not tell their friends ? i was going to do that insant when my m8 who logged on msn , but he listens fking finnish music and i think cant be found from there ;D Invite music people send message that you know where to DL music and post those bulletins and other stuff , i bet 10e that atlasat 1 of them tells for their friends way to go ! keep ip up
hi, ok so you are all saying that basically we should email, messgae friends etc? but its easier said than done, because when you add friends people get annoyed and when you send messages they ignore you!!! how shall i do it? to get interests?
what would nike do ? just do it , hehe well why people would get annyoyed if you make nice profile about your self and its looks like you are normal user in facebook / myspace , then you can maybe send them like hello how have you been today , i have found coolwebsite for music if you want to check it out and in message like : Today have went pretty well bla bla bla bla bla i found this website tuciz.com and you can download music from there for free , i have downloaded quite many tracks from there and they got nice collection hope you like it if you liked it let your friends know too i bet they would like it too have a nice day sounds quite lethal IMO give it a try , i dont know but i think you dont have too much to lose
