How can we check the competition (SEO) for certain keywords

    Hi
I need some help in checking how many other websites (competition) are there on Google for certain keywords.
I know there is a tool `Google Keyword tool` which helps us in giving the competition and the search volume for a certain keyword. But the competitors given in that tool is for paid websites. I need something to figure out for non paid website who are using SEO tactics to promote their websites.

    Please advice.
    Thanks

You can look on their site and look at their title tags and etc to see what they're targeting, and then Google search those terms. Once you've established the KWs write them down and manually check them occasionally to see how they're doing.

I used wordtracker for a while. It has a competitive analysis feature called KEI analysis which shows the competition for organic search results in all major search engines.

Put your keywords under quotes and do a search in Google. If you have less than 100K results it wont be too difficult to rank.
Example your keyword is digital cameras , go to google.com and search for "digital cameras" see how many results it returns, if it's less than 100K go for it

Type the keyword or keyword phrase in Google search and you'll see it.
