How can this be? Trying to figure out how this site is so strong

    I'm looking to find out how the following website is performing so well in terms of SEO metrics, while it seems like it should not.

    Any ideas?

    Well it has a page rank of 8!

    There are some great backlinks from sources like Wikipedia..

    and this site is in a major visited site according to Alexa: Traffic Rank: Top 0.57 %

    Even though a site may be fairly new....if it is a good source of info for the user...it will rank well...because Google's job is to connect the user with what they are looking for!

    Their software DjVu is a competitor to Adobe Acrobat ;-) No wonder 10% documents would link to them in the same breadth as Adobe.
