If you add spam links on your site which are irrelavent to your theme and also incoming links decreases on your site then your site pr may decrease .Also you need to optimize your site regularly by On Page optimization
There are many ways that cause Page Rank decreased. 1.Your website not visit by enough visitors, 2.YOur website has decline good page rank baklines 8.Spammimng makes your Ip adress is in balcklisted. Such are the factors cause your website pagerank decreased.
Peterson said something that is worth a new thread. We know that google can use the visit count as a paramether. Does anyone believes that this is actually a PR or even indexing factor? Two idendical sites (not identical in text but at same PR level). Same popularity same on everything. Assuming the same keyword search. If site A gets 100 clicks or visits a day and site B gets 1 a day. Which would appear first with keyword. If clicks are good. I should post my sites into "check my site and tell me your opinon". That would be dangerous to incentivate clicks.
If you allow to sale of bunch of links in every PR Update! Google PR never remains the same! if you work on PR then you cant get the results in other way if you work for Content + Traffic then you can definitely maintain PR
Interesting to read some of the responses. Check your link neighborhood, chances are you have some bad link partners, a decline in your inbound links or just some spammy stuff happening. Why even be concerned about PR, it's no biggy!
First of all traffic has not to do with PR. It decreases for quite few reasons like if you are linking to a site which is banned by google search results. If you have any text links which are of not your niche but directing to some sites, which means they are paid links. Also if all the page links which are pointing to your site are down a level in PR, it affect your PR too. And many other reasons....
My question is: Keeping all paramethers the same. What happens to PR if you increase outgoing links. So your inbound are the same all rest is the same but you use a site for outgoing link to do triangulars for another site you are pushing. My experience is that outbounding link, if I could give my "best guess" is 80% or an inbound link. So that means that direct link is 100, reciprocal is 20. Does anyone agree or have different opinon?
This can be caused due to the difference in niche...among 2 identically optimized and ranked sites, a gadget site will get more visits than a science paper for obvious reasons. About 2 sites with fairly same rankings and from same niche, actually the factor you may be thinking about is called as 'bounce rate'...if more and more visitors finding your site irrelevant for a particular keyword and bouncing back then its surely gonna affect your rankings for that keyword. P.S: Pagerank still remains same as its calculated mathematically and not going to change unless a change in number of backlinks, PR of backlinks, number of outbound links on a page...or unless you spam and Google gives you a pagerank 'NA' Hope it helps
