I would like some more info. How is it possible that your PR can decrease? Mine hasn't decreased, but I am just wondering how it works.

your PR is based on the PR of the incoming link pages. if your inbound links are dropped or pages where you are getting backlinks have lower PR than before, your PR will drop as well

If those links that linked back to you and had effect on raising your PR dissapear then your PR will drop.

If you do nothing about website promotion (getting backlinks) usually your pr will decrease. In most cases your website has backlinks from forum topics, blog posts. Topics & posts pages will loose pr during some time, because new topics and new blog posts will be created.

    PR decreases if,

    No. of backlinks decreases
    PR of backlinks decreases
Outbound links on backlinking page increases

    Also,
Google shows your PR bar in gray (NA) when it finds you selling links;)

these are very good ways to get your PR dropped to a crap one. If you exchange links with just anyone then you will see that it only reflects negatively upon your site.

It decreases when links been removed... it will lessen the back links of your site.

PR decreases once you lose your backlinks counts or decrease in PR of the sites you have backlinks, and generally it is better to have non reciprocal links than reciprocal links if you are going for free traffic generation method. Because non reciprocal links have more attraction to search engine spiders and which optimally increases PR too.

I deliberately let one of mi sites go down. It was PR3 and now back to n/a.
I didn't loose backlinks but I used it for triangular linking where I placed the outgoing link.
So having only outgoing links with no new backlinks makes your site go down, quite fast.
Please also count on google inertia. It does not happen immediately

I think PR decrease because you got less external links from other PR site. Whether by they remove your links or their PR decreased.
