How can Photoshop be used for Web Designing? :-(

Hi all,

Its a week now since I've been searching for solid ways to design websites & logos but I am afraid all my efforts are getting into fool's errands.

Would you friends please tell me how can a site be made with photoshop and it other potential capabilities of photoshop?

I'd be very thankful to you if you could help me out with this!

 

I don't think that it is possible to make a website with photoshop, probably you can only create a draft for its design. Maybe you should try some of the other Adobe product for web designing such as Dreamweaver.

 

You can create a PSD and then convert it to HTML

 

Dreamweaver is for coding. You can use Fireworks or Photoshop to design a website. If you google "web design photoshop" you can find tons of tutorials.

 

You use Photoshop to design a mockup of the web layout. Photoshop is a graphic design/editing tool, if you want a web development tool, you will have to look into software like Dreamweaver. You use Photoshop to design graphics such as logo, banners, buttons etc.

If you design an entire page layout in Photoshop, you will need to crop each graphic entity out as an image, this is known as slicing. Then, use a web designing software to put them and your page text content together. If you are experienced, you only need Photoshop to design the graphic and you may use notepad (notepad++) to write your code for the page =)

using Photoshop you make website designs (logos, banners,background images, photos...) than you'll have to slice them and save them [save for web and devices] and you'll get folder with images....and you use those images for web coding (you will have to know: html, php, css...), the best in my opinions is Dreamweaver for coding.

 

Photoshop is for designing and we use this design with coding for which Dreamweaver is best.

u just have to create ur design using psd and then convert it to html/css ... so u get ur own customized site

 

First make a complete design in Photoshop slice it and take all image in a folder and put coding in Dreamweaver and insert image according to your design.

 

Make a template of website in Photoshop and code it in Dreamweaver.

 

Photoshop is really a must in web designing. You can do designing here since it uses layer by layer objects.

The photoshop is for designing the website only, it does not export the design as html (website) but what you can do is to use the http://www.medialab.com/ (SiteGrinder Photoshop Plugin) to export full working website!

If you want to have a conducive layout of your website use a photoshop for it.
So that you can create a template that suitable to your taste or your client taste.

Man, it's really not that hard! 2 months ago I would not even imagine I could build a website. (with HTML and CSS). I did a quick search on youtube and luckily i found a great series to watch! This guy is building 2 fairly complex websites from scratch. I have built my own Design website(which you can see on my profile). I watched about 30 video tutorials from his channel. use Macromedia Dreamweaver to make a site it is really easy.. and adobe for designing..

 

Designing website would not complete without touching Photoshop. Even a basic logo need to be created in Photoshop.

 

You need to create the base design in Photoshop, and then you would need to bring it into HTML/CSS!
