how can i view a private facebook profile?

    first of all im not sure if this is the right place to post this.

    anyway,my question is,is there actually a proper way of viewing a private facebook profile without adding him/her as friend?

    Wouldn't that defeat the point of setting the profile as private?

    I expect facebook to honor its settings and not let people in... that would include you.

    What? That is totally illegal. Why would you want to look at someone's profile anyway? Why don't you add them if they're your REAL friend.
