I was recently given some free credits for a text ad service and I've never done text ads before. I've done graphic advertising before though. So my question is, how can I use text ads advertising effectively? Should this also have to do with keywords? I'm kinda lost. Thanks in advance.
In general, text ads perfrom much better than banner ads. People tend to behave a little imune towards banner ads. In my experience, text ads Click Through Rate, is 3 to 4 times higher (and therefore more effective) than banner ads.
I don't really use text ads but I know people who do and the advice I would give is to keep it to your personal experience than with your company. People can relate more to people than an opportunity. Use the AIDA formula in your ad. Grab their Attention build that with some Interest by expanding on what grabbed their attention. Make them Desire what you are saying by showing the value in what it has to offer. Then last call them to action and tell them where they can learn more. This is the formula I use for all the content I put online and is really effective for me. The other thing I would say is that you need a good strong title to capture their attention as well.
HI, There are three things you'll have to work on to make good text ads. HEADLINE. Headline & headline Keep experimenting and you'll be able to get good traffic & sales. When you start paying, just watch your AD ROI. Success, Sam
Hyperlink a good keyword phrase to a landing page and capture contact information for future follow-up. If not this then hyperlink your primary website keyword phrase to your home page and get credit from the search engines for a backlink from it.
