How can I understand my hosting server response fast?

Hello Friends, i have bought web hosting service to build my website. I still have not build my site, I am working on it. I have concerned about a term "server response time", which I am not understanding. And how I can understand the host I have bought has a great server response time? How I can understand my site will load quickly or not?

Do a Google search for server response time and you'll see a definition and some resources for learning all about it.

You should be able to find the response time figures in your hosting dashboard. You can also ask your hosting company support. If it's a legitimate company I'm sure they'll be more than happy to answer your questions.

Server response depends upon server specifications, connection and how heavy is your website or application. If its a latest Xeon core processor and with a 1 gigabit connection. In that case server response would definitely going to be fast. If the server location is near to you. In that case server response might be more fast (if the server specifications are same) . Other things depends how well you have optimized your website. Keep the content and images light in size. If you are getting too much traffic include a CDN to reduce load on your actual server.

    Hey,

Thank you for that link. I used another website before, but uptimerobot is way better! (Atleast so far as I can tell at the moment).

Well, you could also use Google Chrome Developer tools and see how quickly your site is loading.
Ctrl + Shift + I -> Network tab; then open/refresh your site to see the load stats.
