How can I test my server for phpBB3?

I am launching a new website. I have installed PHPBB3 to run the forum part. I have a shared hosting I am more than happy with, probably because my most popular website is static, but don't know how it will perform under some load for such a forum script.
I would like to test how powerfull the server I am on is. Can you please recommend a tool, soft, procedure...

I've been testing PHPbb3 a good bit, and it seems to be relatively easy on the load, but I have found that it's more resource intensive than PHPbb2. The new PHPbb takes a lot after vBulletin.

I really like the new release, if they could copy/paste vBulleting I wouldn't mind! But how did you found out that it was more ressources intensive?
Do you recommend any mods or ways to improve it?

I looked at the server loads and logs. I own a hosting company, so I'm used to checking for loads and stuff. Right now, there are very few mods for it, and since it's still in RC5 people are hesitant about making changes. I'm waiting on it to be the final version before I start modding and stuff.

Yeah, it's been awhile since I have messed with it. You're welcome :)

I reckon it's time for me to start testing the new version :)

no mods improve a board's performance. Infact, they decrease it. The untouched version is best.

True man, but my primary concern is to know how far I can go.

Then you can customize it to any extent. There are tons of mods out there.
