How can I tell whats eating my PC's bandwidth?

I am checking my bandwidth monitor logs. Its really scary.

yesterday, there was over 1GB of uploads which I have nothing to do with. So far today there are 600MB of uploads which I can't account for.

My ISP bills me $2 for every 1GB of bandwidth I use over my 8GB limit each month.

What can I do? I have no idea what is causing the anonymous uploads...

    Thanks,
    Mike

Is anyone else using your wireless internet if you have it. Make sure its all firewalled. Check your firewall to see outgoing connections and what is using the most.

Try a format of your computer. You could probably have some exes on your comp using your bandwidth. Also is your wireless connected secured by a password? (If your using wireless)

Install a firewall, av, spyware software.

    Thanks.

I am using wireless internet. The router is password protected (Its a BT Home Hub).

I have run so many anti-virus scans and spyware/adware checks and they all come back clean. My PC is only 2 weeks old :(

I ran the netstat check and found this -

There is a program called netlimiter you can use. It will give you a very simple list of everything that is currently using your internet connection and allow you to limit each programs access individually. The program itself is shareware if I remember correctly, but it has a 30 day free trail which is plenty of time to investivage :)

Looking at their webiste they actually offer the monitoring only software for free. http://www.netlimiter.com/
