How can I tell the difference between cc and balance payments? There is a dispute on me, and buyer is threatening to chargeback,
If it is CC I will refund, but I will fight it if it is from balance?
    Where can I see this?

If you are the one receiving the payment, you will not be able to find out, at least not in the details they provide.

Actually, if I am not wrong, even if they use their credit card when paying you via paypal, the funds from their credit card would be used to fund their paypal account prior paying you.

If the buyer claims that he wants to chargeback then it is most likely a credit card payment as that is the term being used for credit card transactions.

Paypal should really provide more information on the money you have received, like how it was funded.. You should consider emailing them this information in the hope that they include it in there next update.

I have sent payment to a company, they are not sending the information, how much longer should I wait before I open a dispute.

Well, you could open a dispute anytime but 48 hours may not be a bad time frame to wait assuming there is difference in the time zone and also in case they are temporarily not available.

When some one receives credit card (paypal) payment it's written on the payment history or transaction detail that it's credit card payment.

Actually you are wrong :) When someones pays using a credit card via paypal, paypal automatically charges your credit card without adding funds to your paypal account. This means funds of your credit card have nothing to do with paypal funds. That's why most of the people don't like CC funds (atleast I know :) ), because of strict security measures of Credit card payments.

    I don't think that's true...

However, I just spent the last 30 minutes looking, and I think I found a way!

You need to have some kind of IPN facility (like a shopping card or something). IPN is a paypal protocol "Instant Payment Notification". It gives you back looots of information about the purchase. One of the bits of info it gives you is payer status which is either "verified" or "unverified"

I believe "verified" are customers who have a paypal account, and therefore are most likely paying via their paypal balance..

unverified means they are paying by credit card

    that makes sense to me...

    what do you think?

why not spot the credit card payment using the fee paypal receives?

i have noticed in many new subscription payments (involving other currency i think) paypal charges credit card instead of using the funds in paypal balance.
