How Can I Tell How Many Unique Hits A Day I Get?

    I have a fairly new forum and this may be a stupid question but how can I tell how many unique hits my forum gets a day?

    I have adsense and can see the page impressions but I dont think they are unique are they? Plus I have adsense on other sites so that not very accurate either. :confused:

    If you have access to raw logs then you just need to run a log analyzer over them. I prefer Webalizer since it's a stand alone windows app that generates sufficient reports.

    Google Analytics (formerly Urchin) is the way to go.

    Try google analytics and watch out the links on the left side which provides detailed view of your site i.e. executive, seo etc. Also you can track where your visitors are coming from i.e. their geographical locations etc. So i think its a better option than any other software tht you will implement on your site.
