    Hi all,

I want to advertise my free new api to blog and forum owners. I think that my api could be good on any site, but they would be the best for it. Since URLs get long in forums/blogs, say for example

www.blogexample.com/computers/date/view?id=3423, this could show users to share tiny2.net/2w9r (or some four letter combo)! I feel like this could generate more users.

Even take this forum for a different example
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=####### is not as bad, but it would be easiert share with someone if it was tiny2.net/LLLL because it would always be one line and some people will not visit forums but would give the tiny2 link a try.

if you have a blog/forum or know how to market this API to those who do (or even others) please respond or PM me.

    Thanks

Short URL services are common nowadays since tinyurl and the character limit on twitter and other sites - you will have a hard time making a success of it given that other sites already have loyal followings, api's and are heavily marketted - and your URL is longer that theirs too.

    Good luck.

    biy.ly
    cli.gs
goo.gl (google use only, but you bet it'll soon be public)
    is.gd
    hex.io
    tiny2.net

Which is longer? and there are plenty more, as i said originally.

Sure, but how many let you include 3 lines on your webpage so that it can get one itself. bit.ly the users need to get it for you then use it, if you use my service then you don't need them to get it for you.

You can but on your site

Share this page with tiny2.net/LLLL. Hard to believe but a LOT of non-computer people do not know about URL shortening services and so if you shorten it for them it could help.
