how can i submit my website on dmoz ?

i want to submit my website on dmoz but there is no place for submitting it

please guide me how to submit ?

There is a button on the main page of the ODP - "suggest URL" that redirects to the submission guide. Before start your submission, make sure you`ve found the right category for your website in ODP.

 

Not all categories have the option to submit your site to them. I assume this is due to there being no sites worthy to be listed in those categories, because all the worthy sites are already there (or it's a category category). Try submitting your site to a less suitable category... though keep in mind, in doing so your site can be rejected or removed (according to the submission guidelines, which you have to follow, but editors do not).

 

Good luck with DMOZ, you need to choose the very best category that fits your site, and even then it may not get accepted.

 

If it is compliant with our guidelines it will be listed, but it can take from a few days to a few years for the review to see if it is compliant. Also if you do submit to the wrong category, all is not lost, it will be moved, if it is guideline compliant, but it may well then wait again for that all important review. Some categories have suggestions turned off because we do not accept sites at that level.

There are a lot of how to guides in submitting in DMOZ. Try to Google it. And submitting in DMOZ is as easy as submitting in other directories. Remember to be careful in placing your categories anyway.

There is no guarantee to be listed in DMOZ after submission. In fact most websites cannot get listed there and some got approval after a year or so. You can submit your website to them. But don't place your expectation too high.

 

DMOZ Listing in not easy its all content should be unique otherwise not accepted.

DMOZ is an human edited directory so you have to be very patient with the listings. It my take from few days to few months and sometimes years.

And do not make repeated submissions if your not getting listed.

 

accepting or submit on DMOZ is not easy like submit in other directory. You must waiting to get accepted. and choose wisely for category.
