Please give me some ideas.... I recently modified my e-commerce site. The old site was broken down catalog style (at least 10 products per page, no individual product pages) and now I expanded the entire site so now every single product has its own product page (about 9,000 in all) My issue is my stupid CMS creates bad urls like www.whatever.com/jldfjhdu239-?.asp and they get indexed before my robots page can block them out. My other issue is I now have to wait for Google to index the new keyword-rich-urls (which we are now at a week and only 2 out of 900 are indexed) So my question is what can I do while I am waiting for this pages to be indexed? Anything I can do you speed up the process? Sorry for the long choppy post.
Just focus on getting more backlinks from quality sites. You should keep doing this on a regular basis. More quality backlinks will help get your new pages indexed faster. The other thing you could do is to setup a 301 redirect from each old page to its new keyword rich url. Since you have 9000 products, this probably isn't feasible. It might be worth trying for some of your more important products.
