I am not entirely sure what you mean. Do you want to learn html, or do you already know html and want ideas? Or maybe something else entirely?

I can help with either one, I just need to know what you are asking.

If you're looking to learn hard coding websites, Google is going to be your best friend. A lot of people swear by books and videos, but honestly anything and everything you need to know about building a website from scratch can be found online, including XHTML/CSS and PHP.

Not sure what you mean by pros and cons..

If you want to learn web development first you must decide front end development, backend development or combination of both.

    Then you need to learn:
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • Javascript

And if you're a front-end developer you will want to learn how to use Photoshop effectively, how to slice, maybe a bit of jQuery, etc..
For back-end development you will want to learn how to use PHP+MySQL, how to administer Linux, Apache, and maybe learn some shell scripting.

w3schools taught me everything I know about programming :) I suggest you start with HTML and then go on to do all of the tutorials on there, each of them relate and you will find it is all pretty similar is structure. :) Good luck mate!

I don't think there's any site that beats W3School when it comes to online tutorial. They are the best - just pop in there and select whatever language you'd like to learn.

    Good luck
