Guys Im just a newbie here in DP I just wanted to learn how to be a webmster like my brother he said that I will lot of things here in DP I hope you guys will help so i can start my own business to earn much money thankz guys
Read a lot around here...try to learn about SEO, Content management systems, html, google PageRank, ways to monetize sites, and some other marketing.. once you know a little about those things, decide what niche you want to make a site in and start... In the meantime, if you're a good article writer, try writing articles for $
start a site about something you like, i recommend a blog, write about what you want, then work on getting visitors to your site, advertise, and slowly it'll get into your brain and you'll know a lot more, and read around the net, go to other sites and visit and read, it can only help slow steps can take you very far
My suggestion is start a content site on a topic you enjoy and know alot about... then learn about SEO and begin to drive traffic to your site... you can learn alot by using 1 site as your starting point!
Webmaster is a BIG word. You need to have knowledge and experience about these: 1. Website building 2. Html 3. Ftp 4. Hosting 5. Advertising I don't know (from your post) if you have experience on them or not... So, I suggest you to start with a free editor (an editor to create html pages) and create some web pages to begin. You need to learn the basic steps before to do the big steps and make some profits. Another thing: do you have knowledge on web marketing?
Some what agree with the above - you firstly need to define what you mean by webmaster as the term is very general and can range greatly from someone who has to be able to troubleshoot and build on complex serverside scripted/ sql sites to someone who who does little more than correct typos and help people with their forgotten passwords.
You've definitely made the first step by coming to DP. Read and learn from the others here. You need the basics and what's a better place to learn than DP!
Read a bit. Learn few things. Test it. If something works or seems to work, stick with it while putting in some extra hours to learn more. Once you earn something, just repeat the process. I think the most important thing for you to do at this stage is to concentrate on making a website about something you like. You could even make a website for your friends where you can share photos, links, things like that. This will help you get a feel for creating website. Or make a website about your favorite games, TV Show, sports etc. Write a parody website for your school. There's a big world out there. For the time being, just concentrate on having fun and learning. Money will come later. Have fun! Alex
Try to practice your skills first. Ask some pointers from your brother. I'm pretty sure he knows a lot about webmasters.
You are not required to be webmaster to start own business. I think you should decide what you want: make money online or start your own business.
