Hi, I am looking to sell products related to a niche. Lets pretend it is for guitar players. I would like to have a website where I would have shirts, DVDs, and musical equipment users could browse through. Now, the only problem is: I don't have all this equipment. And I cannot afford to have an inventory of items. So most likely I would need to be an affiliate. Or be part os some type of program. The main thing I want is for my store to look professional and not have "I am an AFFILIATE!!!" screaming at them when they look at it. I don't care if customers know it is an affiliate site, I just want them to see that the site looks professional and hopefully original. And good ideas for achieving this? I think Astore can do it but I have some issues: all the examples I have seen look the same, and amazon don't pay very well. Maybe there are some alternate methods?
I believe that you can use an ECommerce product such as ASPDotNetStoreFront to build your online shop. I believe you have to pay some license fees in order to have this up. Alternatively, there are other cheaper or even free E-Commerce tool that you can use, but it may not be as powerful as the ASPDotNetStoreFront
I wrote an article about this on my blog. Check it out: online-multiplayer-mmorpg DOT blogspot DOT com Hope that helps!
