How can I spend more?

It appears to me Adwords is limiting the amount of impressions I am receiving. As a result, I am only getting $50 worth of clicks per day, even though my my campaign is $200 per day.

Is there anyway I can get Adwords to let me spend more money?

My account is about 3 months old and has never miss payment. Also my CTR is about 5% - 7%.

is your ad being shown through out the day or it stops at a certain time of the day? which position you are bidding for? google would love to have your money therefore they would not stop you from spending more. with 5-7% CTR, your ad would show untill you run out of your budget. it could happen if your bid is low for your keyword and your ad is not showing through out the day.

Under campaign setting, I select "display ads evenly throughout the day"
My average position is between 2 - 3.

I am positive there are a lot more impressions available because there used to be times (about 2 months back) where I get about 2000 impressions per day for one particular keyword.

But for the past 20 days or so, I am only receiving about 600 impressions per day for the same keyword.

And irregardless of number of keywords I add, my daily spend hovers between $50 - $51 dollars.

    Anyone has any insights?

it really depends on which keywords you are bidding for. 2 months back was holiday season so keyword searching was inflated and you would have seen about 2 - 3 times more search volume for gift type keywords. I have an electronics campaign which has lost over 60% of search volume since the beginning of January, plus entering an economic recession does not help with people wanting to spend money.

I would recommend running 2 reports

1st. run an account performance report for the last 30 days and set the unit of time to hourly regarless of date. This report will tell you if you are being turned off at a specific time of day. however if you see clicks and impressions throughout the entire 24 hour period, then you are not being turned off.

2nd. Run a campaign report. set the unit of time to summary and in the advanced setting column check mark the impression share (IS), Lost IS (Rank) and Lost IS (Budget). This report will tell you what campaign is losing impressions due to a restriction. Lost IS rank will tell you if its due to positioning and Lost IS budget will tell you if your campaign is being restricted due to budget.

These reports should answer all your questions. Let me know if you have any others.

ok, i get it. i think yu have a new adwords account and all new accounts start off with $50 credit limit. once you reach $50, your ads will stop showing and adwords will charge your card for that amount. if the charge was successful, then your credit goes upto $150 then eventually to $500. you just work your way up

I think your right sultanofseo, the new account is limiting the budget until it confirms the charge card, I had the same issue when I started adwords

I just run the reports as suggested.

My account is turn off at 11am. In other words, it only show up for 12 hours from 12am - 11am.

My impression share is pretty healthy at 81%.

Any idea how I can make it show up throughout the day? Btw my Ad scheduling is turned off.

may i ask what niche are you in? Whats your average position for the time you are showing up?

My guess you need to increase both bids and budgets. You are probably in a competitive market. I have clients who spend $2k by noon, so no surprise you are off by 11am and google is not showing you verses those who have much higher budgets.

I am not in a extremely competitive niche.

My average position is between 2 - 3. My impression share is 81%. So I think my bid is pretty healthy compared to my competitors.

My campaign budget is $200 per day. So I think my budget is covered.

The main issue is once I reach $50, my ad stops showing.

I think it just happened to me, google failed to charge my CC (I sent an email to them regarding the CC problem and they replied that they finally managed to charge it) but until now I still lost more than 70% impressions I normally have.

still having very low impression although I manage to get few clicks a day. I am sure it's not about low Quality Score coz I started a new campaign and it also suffer the same problem. I guess I am going to contact adwords people again about this.

anyone has some possible solution to this matter?

It may be the case that you aren't allowed to spend more than $50 a day, but if that isn't the case, then it could be that you need to change the setting "show evenly throughout the day" to "accelerated".

On standard setting Google estimates the number of ads to show in order to make your budget last a whole day, and usually takes a conservative estimate, speeding up at the end to use up the budget. Perhaps the time constraints youve applied are messing things up. Give it a try, it wont hurt.

Thanks Prodrock, I'll give it a try right away.

The funny thing is, before I got that wierd warning about payment (because the adword's rep said they managed to charge my CC) my ad's impression were around 50.000 - 90.000/day but now I can't even reach 2.000/day.
