How can I sleep better?

    I would have to agree with everyone on the exercise part but I would add some ice cream at the end of the night right before bed. Not to much though, half a cup should be plenty. You'll sleep like a baby then.

    The only thing you need to prevent before sleeping is Don't even drink any alcoholic related products, or it will greatly affected your sleeping quality...

    I don't think food is the issue more then the vitamins. Vitamins will keep you awake at night, especially if they're tailored with nutrients made to sustain energy throughout the day.

    Try taking any vitamin supplements in the morning (that includes your omega's).

    If that doesn't help try any of these things :

    A cup of Chamomile tea

    meditation (sit in a quiet space for 15 min. close your eyes and think of sleepy sounds and sites like laying on the beach with the sounds of waves...)

    A hot soaking lavender bath

    write stuff down before you go to bed... works for me, plus I'm not trying to remember what I was thinking about before I went to bed...some of my best idea's come to me when I'm half asleep...sound weird, but true. Maybe because my mind is completely relaxed...

    It`s not difficult to make estimate:
    24/4 = 6
    6*0,25 = 1,5
    1,5 hour Leonardo Davinchi Slept and 8 hours sleep usual human :)

    Try not to think difficult things when you want to go to sleep...try thinking happy thought about what you're going to do tommorow. Make yourself comfortable in bed and do what you like to do before sleep.

    Related to this, here's what helped me and therefore my conclusions:

    - end computer work at least an hour before sleep. This means you must not jump from the computer straight into bed. Finish using your computer an hour before you intend to sleep. Also, big brightness on a screen will tire your eyes and they will be red in the morning. Keep a balanced ligtning, do not stare in the huge brightness 22 inch screen with dark all around you.
    - take Zinc pills. Zinc is the father of profound sleeping.
    - don't stay in bed all day, make your days productive. When you know you had a full day, you can rest peacefully. When you know you did nothing constructive that day, you won't be able to sleep. balance mind/body, work at computer but also do some fitness/runnning/whatever physical exercise each day.
    - keep fresh air in the room.
    - don't agitate your mind before you intend to sleep. If you start reviewing your day and your week and your month and think of this and that, you're agitated and the body can't rest.
    - solve issues that don't allow you to rest. Worrying is the enemy of sleep.
    - don't overeat 2 hrs before sleeping. full stomach can give you nightmares.

    Drink hot water
    Pray to god
    Sit calf for 5 minutes and assume that you are going to sleep
    after that start your sleep , i guarantee that you will cake in the morning late

    You don't mention your whole day routeen and its good to know you do some workout. Daily work keep you healthy and fit and its good to sleep tight. The most important thing is don't take tension just do your work and forgot. Tension not good for health and if you put on lots of pressure how can you sleep.
