How can I setup an application or similar to feed XML or plain text onto site?

    Hello,
I have created a partnership with a PR firm and the firm wants me to pull XML (or I can do plain text) feeds off of their server and place them directly onto my webpage. They have setup a feed server w/ user/pass and told me to "write an application" to do this. Does anyone have any experience with this, or know where I would start? The site that I will be placing the feeds is a Joomla site. Thanks in advance.

Okay. How can I take feeds off of a sever directly and have them placed onto my site? Is there a simple way to do this?

Yes, Joomla. Do those take feeds off of a server and will put them onto the page? And is it possible to have all feeds after a certain period be archived onto the site?
