    Hi all,

I've had my www.resize2mail.com site online now for about one month, and it is indexed by google and some other search engines!

What I would like to do is SEO it more (1st for google) so that the ranking will be beter. One of the problems is that the site does not have much text to play with!

Any sugestions on how to get it better ranked?

    Noel

Yes thats a good question :)

It's online image resize, image resize, online photo resize and photo resize.

Again, I do not have much text to play with, so I guess it's going to be hard!

I would try to work your keywords into your <TITLE>. They aren't terribly competitive, so it shouldn't be too difficult. For off-page factors, try to get some links with your keywords within the anchor text.

I'd be sure to take out the "size does matter" phrase, too-- Google may cross-link you with penile enlargment words, and the words probably don't help your SEO at all...

    hi all,
this is my first post, please be patient.

per shawn, he mentions that keyword is not "terribly competitive"

i am wondering how can i evaluate my targeted keywords whehter they are competitive or not?

are there anywebsie i can type in my keywords and they can check the competitive degree or so?

i am quite new and not SEO expert..any suggestion is really appreciated.

In this forum in the navigation bar, there is a Tools option. Within that there is a Keyword Suggestions box that will tell you roughly how many searches per day any term gets.

thank you ...i see...so if i use the tool to get estimated keywords searches.

to get a competitive degree, if i can get

    # keyword searches /# of supply site ( targeted the keywords)

it would get a better idea how competitive the keywords are?

    dose this make sense?

Yeah, that would work... For me, I don't go through all that trouble though. I just see what gets more searches.

Agree totally!!! ..get more searches.would be much better.

just dream that the less competitive would help to begin since i am an entry-level here.....but totally right...get the #1 on very low search volume is probably not gonna get any good:)

    Basic SEO

Have the index page with your main terms, then add pages like crazy with fab content, optimised for the other phrases. Make sure that you have a site map page listing every page. Then make sure you have a link to that site map page from every page. Basic concept - title, meta description, meta keywords, and phrase twice in close proximity in the text, <h1>, bold, italics. Yahoo uses a longer snippet with say 4 occurances of your phrase. Then use the semantics of the terms elsewhere on the page. Have some outgoing links on each page (say 2) with the linked text using the search phrases your own page has been optimised for.

You have done some of the above, work needed on the following:
Have text links with your main phrases (using only those words) on every page, and on the site map page.
Have unique titles on every page.

Then get outside links like crazy from both related sites, and others like this forum. Use only the words in the text link that you want to be listed for.

Only problem - Google is not listing many sites when they are new, or it just has decided that it does not like them. Google Sandbox effect etc. Try your luck.

    Wow..

I did change some small things, and I'm now ranked (on the 8th of this month) with:

    resize: 32nd
    resize online: 5th
    resize image online: 4th
    resize photo online: 1st
    resize photos online: 1st
    digital image resizer: 10th
    digital photo resizer: 13th
    online image resizer: 1st
    resizer: 33rd

Not bad... Lets see if it will stay like this.

Get backlinks ...a lot of them with the keyword as the anchor text pointing back to your website. It really helps
