How Can I sell My Signature and Avatar in Forum?

I go this idea from blog that After hyper active in forum, you can sell your signature and avatar to some who want to promote their products or services.

If is it true...then

How can I get the client, how to approach people for buying my signature and avatar.

Let me know, what is your opinion about this situation.

first of all u need to be regular and active on any forums your are in
u need to make some certain amount of daily posts (but don't spam)
having positive feedback or iTraders are a plus
when you have a strong member profile in a forum check for signature sections and make a thread with ur proposal or see what other people's requirements are for a signature or avatar spot
Then you get ur space sold at a negotiable amount for a specific time
