    Hello,

For a few days I bought a domain from Yahoo. I bought just the domain name, not hosting package or something else. Now someone want to buy it from me for an nice price.
Could you tell me step by step what I have to do ?
I never sold another domain and I have no knoweldge.
What are the legal steps ?

    Thanks!

    I already have a buyer.
I don't know how can I sell it.
What I have to do ? I have to make a commercial deal. He doesn't send me the money without a commercial deal .

    Do you mean this?

Create an invoice---email, fax, or hand it to the guy. Include the date, description and price.

    then transfer the name

In fact.. i am also interested to know this..
How a domain is transferred from one person to other? I know that just changing contact details wont do as the domain control is still with the first party..

Well if the domain registrar is the same then just push it from one account to another.

And for the main question. You can sell it in many different ways. But first make some exposure for that particular domain. I have 100's of tricks to buy or sell a domain. :D But in end it all depends on which domain name you are selling it. and all this comes from experience. It is not in any book or tutorial.

If they'll give you the money up front, you can just change the contact info at which point they should have control. Or has been suggested, if they have an account at the same registrar sometimes you can just push it to their account for free.

If it's for a more serious price, sometimes they'll want a third party involved where they'll send the money to that third party and you'll push the domain to the third party. Then the third party sends you the money and sends them the domain. THere's a cost for this though.

Unfortunately, from what I know it's not that easy with Yahoo domains. You have to wait 60 days from the day you registered it until you can transfer the domain and you can't push to another account either. So unless you have the domain for over 60 days you can't sell it yet.
If you own the domain for more than 60 days you can transfer it directly to the buyers account at another registrar (you unlock it and he requests a transfer through his registrar) or you can transfer it to your own account at a registrar that allows free domain push (like godaddy) and then push it at his account at that registrar. Hope it makes sense.

Disclaimer: I may be wrong about this

I believe it is an ICANN rule where you cannot change registrars within 60 days regardless of where you register it, so if you have a new domain, your only option is to push it to another account at the SAME registrar. I don't think Yahoo allows this, so I don't think you can transfer a yahoo domain until it is 60 days old. After 60 days, you would have the new registrar initiate a transfer.
