I use Photoshop's 'automate' tool to run a resizing action. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=367378 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=594523 etc...
I don't remember the name of it, but I think it was on Windows PowerTools for XP or whatever. It was sort of an addon and all you had to do was select all, right click, select Resize All, and choose the size that you want. Worked really good and pretty quick. Before that I used Photoshop Automate and that took a while longer..
I recommend iview420, simply right click and pick your size. You can download it from Free Image Resizing Software Thanks Brian
You can find this Image Resizer program here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx And that's right, almost any good and free image browser can be used (XnView, FastStone, IrfanView, etc).
I automate a "batch process" using photoshop not only can you choose the size but you also have an option to automate the amount of compression.
Use CSS. img { height: [desired height]; width: [desired width]; } It should reduce the sizes of all your images in your page. But not the file size.
you can use an image batch program available for free that will resize your images all together all at once all at whatever size you choose. I'm use this one... hxxp://www.jklnsoft.com/
Both the photoshop and the microsoft picture manager will be useful in this case.. Try n out which you seem is more comfortable to you..
you mean automatically in the server? if so you have to use imagemagick convert to resize images. You have call convert inside php exec function(). Besides this, you can use php thumbnail class to resize images on the fly.
thanks for the info ....i was not asking about server...but its interesting php class thanks for that information.. i am wondering if some one knows image capture php class, like if you type url it will generate thumbnail.
