I used a directory submissions service and now my site has been penalize. I used the service by DP member samvincent08 and it seems he is no longer active here. What do you guys/girls recommend, I would like to terminate these backlinks asap.

If someone here knows or has worked with samvincent08 please PM. Thanks

Unless you got a notification of a manual penalty, then ignore them. (A drop in rank due to algorithm is not the same.) Just ignore them and move forward (quality links and content - quality, not quantity).

(Links don't harm, they don't have e negative value, the lowest is zero, i.e. no vote for your site.)

That seems like it would be a very big job to get done if it is possible to get done.

You can remove links from directories only by contacting directory owners. FYI, this will be a big time waste thing. You should not focus on removing links as links don't harm a site. Focus on building relevant, do follow, high pr and anchor text focused links.

It really depends on why you dropped. If you lost rank just because links lost weight (i.e. you were not penalised), then just build links and you'll see a gradual increase in rank.
