When using G to determine which backlinks a site have i get a lot of results from the site itself. I get a lot of internal links of the site and this bolders me a bit because i have to go trough more results and the actual numbers are not correct for me because i want to determine the amount of backlinks of foreign sites and not from the domain itself. Is there any solution for this guys? Thanks in advance
Try this and let me know if you get what you're looking for: link:website.com -site:website.com That's likely too restrictive, here's another: www.freshdames.com -site:www.freshdames.com
I still havent figured it out but i found a way to find sites other than your own that reference your site. Do a google search for: "yourdomain.com" -site:yourdomain.com
Hi, You cannot combine a link: search with other operators or with a regular keyword search. If you choose the "show 100 results at a time" option, it becomes easier to manually sort the results. If you don't like that, you can follow the suggestions from wrmineo and BILZ or do the search with Yahoo Search. Yahoo Search accepts link:http://www.domain.com/ -site:www.domain.com). Jean-Luc
I tried this technique www.freshdames.com -site:www.freshdames.com and that helped It reduced the results by half and hopefully they all where the ones of the domain i was researching. I guess Bilz suggestion would work as well Thank you very much guys, much appreciated.
