I've been doing SEO for my website for rather long time period. one day I'm very happy when I saw my website placed in top 10. But next day, I continued to search for the same keyword, but my website was put down to page 2 and more next day is page 3 although I still do SEO everyday. So how can I remain my website always in top 10?
Continue to build inbound links to your URLs with the targeted keyword phrase (and slight variations) from the <title> of the page being linked to as the link text. There is no need to change the content of the page unless you have some on-page optimization that you can do. If you want to "update your site regularly" then do it by adding NEW pages to the site that target new keyword phrases. The only changes I would ever make to pages that are already ranking on page 1 are very minor changes for on-page SEO purposes.
The best way to stay in the top 10 is to continually beat out position 11 in Google. So you have to spy on them and see how many backlinks they have, whose linking to them, what the PR of their page that's ranking is, etc. There's a great firefox plugin that allows you to do much of this. Check out "Quirk Search Status" as that is a great free tool.
Make sure you are updating your content regularly. Also try to make sure your content is unique. If it's not unique always quote the source with a link back where possible. Then just build keyword rich links like crazy but don't make them all exactly the same keyword. You got to vary it a little to make it look as natural as possible. Don't put up all your links in one go... pace yourself LOL Also try to get links from a variety of sources from different parts of the world. Use Bookmarks, Articles, Blog Comments, Forum Signatures etc and keep looking all the time for places to put up a link!
Also try copying top websites what they do for they same keyword, if u want to beat them in the same keyword..hehe sounds funny but it does work...
it may be cause your site is new and the positions may get affected due to google dance, it will be alright once the site gets old. one of the possible reasons I mean.
You have to be regular in updating your Content. Get more backlinks and look how other are getting more backlinks than you.
You page rank will change each time google update itself.. Keep on working on your backlinks and SEO tips..
SEO On Page must be good, update daily, and unique content, I know backlink (seo off page) is important too, but I don't do it everyday. Take big attention to SEO On Page.. my new post always in the top ten for long time. I can compete with other old websites. Like keyword "google top ten optimization" or "google top ten in 24 hours". I know what we must to do to get it. I get $3000+ monthly from my blog, $1000+ adsense and $2000+ amazon affiliate.
Yep...! There is no magic to get top 10 listings. Just try to put daily content (unique + quality) on your website and create lots of links + inter-link your webpages...
To stay on top, you need to follow these steps: - Keep building quality links, not spam type of links. Keep away from unhealthy neighbourhood (on pages with more than 100 outbound links) - Get keyword anchored dofollow link on high PR pages - Keep updating your website with new content - Make sure to update onsite SEO for each page on your site - Don't give out too many link out from your website, especially dofollow links. The above methods can help you to stay on first page but it is totally depends on your competitor's aggresiveness too.
Well, Its hard to reach at Google's Top Ten and staying there for long time is even more tough and hard. To stay alive in Google Top Ten you need Constant, high quality and relevant Link Building. Withing that Fresh and Unique Content and Huge amount of traffic. As long as you Keep Performing SEO activities you will live on...
