How Can I Redirect Traffic From One of My Websites To Another of My Sites?

I have an older website that is not really doing anything, but it still gets a reasonable amount of traffic. I have another website that is in the same theme, and I would like to redirect the traffic from my older site so that the traffic goes to the newer site. Is there a way to do this?

Try to put link bait on your old site pointing to your new site.

Use 301 to redirect all the traffic from the old to the new site.
If both sites are similar and you want to mantain the access to both of them you can use rel canonical

Also, a simple link with good anchor on the footer will help. Use links along the content, outbound links to your new site pages and posts

I would recommend you to use "301" this is permanent redirect, this method would help your traffic drive to new domain. After few month your new site will be index with out any problem.

Yes, I agree with sophia123789. Perform the 301 re-direct for permanent transition for all traffic. You can do this with your hosting account whoever you are with, such as blue host. You login into your c-panel and it will say "re-direct" and then ask you for www. or no www.

I`m sure it is the same procedure with hostgator and other popular hosting that you are with, if anything you can ask a rep to help you out as well.

I appreciate rep points, if this helped you. "Click the Thumbs Up Icon" :)
